The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites online application forms from eligible candidates for recruitment of 115 Vacancies of Veterinary Officers in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Government of Punjab.

Age Relaxation: 45 years for all States/ Central Government employees; 43 years for SC and BC of Punjab, 42 years for Widows, Divorcees and certain other Categories of Women & 48 years for Physically Handicapped of Punjab.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. Provided that the persons possessing qualification of Ph.D. or M.V.Sc. in any of the Branches of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science shall be given preference. Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent standard.

(2) Registered with the Punjab Medical Council or with any other duly constituted Medical Council in India;
(3) Knowledge of Punjabi Language of Matriculation Standard or its equivalent.
Selection Process: COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION [will be held on 02/03/2014 (Sunday) (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM)] / VIVA VOCE (INTERVIEW) [The objective of the Competitive Examination is to shortlist candidates for the interview]
Exam Details –> The Paper shall consist of 150 questions and each question shall carry 02 marks. There will be no negative marking.The objective type multiple choice questions for the Competitive Examination shall be from the syllabus as detailed on the Commission's Website at http://www.ppsc.gov.in/html/med14.asp. The standard of questions shall be of Graduation level. The minimum qualifying marks shall be 35% for the General Category candidates and 30% for all Reserve Category candidates.
Interview Details -> The Viva-Voce shall carry 40 marks and final result shall be prepared on the basis of the grand Total of the marks obtained by the candidates in the written Competitive Examination and the Viva-Voce. No candidate shall be called for the Viva-Voce unless he obtains the minimum benchmark i.e 35% for the General Category candidates and 30% for all Reserve Category candidates in the written Competitive Examination.
Application Fee: (Application fee must be submitted through any Branch of State Bank of Patiala only on or before 13/02/2014)
How To Apply: Eligible candidates are required to apply Online on or before 10/02/2014. The printout of the filled Online Application Form along with copy of Bank Challan and relevant documents must reach "The office of Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission" on or before 21/02/2014 up to 5:00 PM.
