South Eastern Railway (SER) issued employment notifications for recruitment of Group D posts against Sports Person in Ranchi Division of SER 2013-14. Eligible Sports Persons apply on or before 24th February 2014.
Employment Notice No. 04/SER/Sports/2013-14
Pay Band: PB-1 Rs 5200-20200/-
Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years as on 01/01/2014. No relaxation in lower upper age limit is permissible for any category of candidates.
Minimum Educational Qualification: Pass in Matric or ITI or its equivalent.
Minimum Sports Qualifications:
(a) Represented the country in any of the Championship/Event in the commonwealth Championships (Junior /Senior category)/Asian Championships/ASIA Cup (Junior/Senior Category/South Asian federations(SAF) Games (senior Category)/ USIC (World Railways Championships(Senior category) [OR]
(b) At least 3rd position in federation Cup championships (Senior Category) [OR]
(c) Represented a state of equivalent unit, except in Marathon and cross country in senior/Youth/Junior National championships [OR]
(d) At least 3rd position in senior state championships for all units and districts of the state.
Selection Process:
Conduct of trial –> (1) Distribution of marks awarded by trial committee: trial of Candidates shall be conducted to assess their sports performance / suitability for the team of S.E.Railway. Candidates found fit in the trial will be considered for next stage selection.
Marks for Trial Format follows:
(2) After trial only the candidates declared the fit shall be considered for next stage i.e. interview / Documents verification no marks shall be given to candidate declared unfit in the trial for their
sports achievement etc. only such candidates who are declared fit in trial and attend interview.
(3) Distribution of marks: maximum marks which can be awarded in the trial & during interview shall be as follows
(i) For game skill, physical fitness & Coach's observation during trial - 40 marks
(ii) Assessment of sports achievements as per norms - 50 marks
(iii) Education qualification - 05 marks
(iv) General intelligence / personality etc. - 05 marks
Examination Fee: A Non refundable Bank Draft / IPO for Rs.100/- for UR & OBC candidates. The Bank Draft Or IPO payable in favor of "Sr. DFM/Ranchi". No fee for SC/ST/Minorities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis) economically backwards class are exempted from fees.
How To Apply: Applications on the prescribed format. Completed application should be submitted on A4 size paper duly filled in by the candidates own handwriting, duly accompanying with attested copies of all certificates, Age proof certificate. Educational qualification and caste certificate should be self-attested by the candidate and should be enclosed along with application form.
Completed application addressed to "Divisional Railway Manager (Per) S.E Rly, Ranchi Division/ Hatia, Jharkhand, Pin- 834003" on or before 24/02/2014 up to 18:00 Hrs (Closing date for receipt of applications through post for candidates who are residents of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, J&K Lahaul & Spiti Dist. and Panzi Sub divn of Chamba Distt of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands & Laksadweep - 05/03/2014 up to 18:00 Hrs.)
Candidates should write the "name of the event, category applied for and post applied for" in block letters at the top envelop which should be super scribed: "Application for recruitment against sports Quota 2013-14".
